References to we, our, or us in this privacy notice are to the Moore and Smalley Palace Shield Competition.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer as we are not required to do so at this present time, our executive committee (to be determined) has overall responsibility for data protection compliance in our organisation.

The competition will process your personal data for the purposes of:
- Administrative and Identification purposes
- To enable communication and matching by Club, Leagues, County Board and the English Cricket Board ECB
- Administering user profiles, fixtures and scoring
- Quality and improvement monitoring
- Competition entry
- Reporting purposes
- DBS applications and verification
- Process and deal with any complaints made by you
- Provide you with information, products or services that you request from us.
- Management of any incidents, specific requirements
- Direct Marketing if you have consented to this
- Security of IT systems
- To conduct data analysis, to better understand event attendance and trends within the sport

- Any party approved by you
- To any governing bodies or regional bodies for cricket: to allow them to properly administer the sport on a local, regional and national level.
- The government or our regulators: where we are required to do so by law or to assist with their investigations or initiatives.
- Police, law enforcement, child protection, social services and security services: to assist with the investigation and prevention of crime and the protection of national security.

Legal basis for processing your personal data

The legal basis for the collection and processing of your personal data is:
- Administration and Identification: that it is necessary to fulfil the contract you are going to enter into or have entered into with us.
- Direct marketing which may include profiling for the purposes of direct marketing that you have given your consent to.
- In all other cases: that it is necessary for our legitimate interests which are to build a programme to encourage participation in cricket and does not prejudice or harm your rights or freedoms
- Legitimate interest to ensure our IT systems are secure
- Legitimate interest to ensure membership is targeted and relevant.

Your right to withdraw consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you do, it will not affect the lawfulness of any processing for which we had consent prior to you withdrawing it.

Location of your personal data

The personal Information we collect is not transferred to and stored in countries outside of the UK and the European Union.

How long we will keep your personal data for
|
The duration for which we retain your personal information will differ depending upon the type of information and the reason why we collected it from you. In some cases personal information may be retained on a long term basis: for example if required for legal purposes, it will be retained in accordance with usual commercial practice and regulatory requirements.
Generally, where there is no legal requirement we retain or physical and electronic records for a period of 2 years after your last contact with us.
Your personal information in the ECB Play-Cricket system will be retained for 2 years following your last interaction with us.

It is essential to ensure the personal information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. You should let us know if anything changes by contacting us, for example if you change your phone number or email address.
Where it is possible you should update your personal information electronically within the systems used.
