Gerald Brown (Thornton Cleveleys CC) (Updated)

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of our Chairman, Gerald Brown at the ever so young age of 55. He has been suffering with illness for several months.
Gerald joined the club whilst a student at Rossall School and over the years has given a lot of his time to us and his enthusiasm, friendly personality will be missed by all who knew him. A committee member, 1st XI club captain, Treasurer, Vice Chairman and Chairman and a coach. He loved putting back into Cricket what it had given him as many a youngster would say. His last venture was to set up our Ladies/girls rounders section.
He will be greatly missed by his family to whom we pass on our heartfelt sympathies.

The funeral arrangements for Gerald Brown are as follows.
Monday 6th August 2018 at Thornton Parish Church, Meadows Avenue, Cleveleys, FY5 2TW.
Time – 10.30am.
Then family only please at Carleton Crematorium.
Gerald's request was that Mournful dress was not to be worn.
The family have requested family flowers only please. However, donations can be made to Kidney Cancer Research. Details for which we will hopefully be able to supply nearer the time of the funeral.
