Longridge retain Loxham Cup

Longridge have retained the Loxham Cup by beating Leyland at Victory Park, Chorley.

Longridge were put in to bat and scored 162 for 8 in their 40 overs

Kyle Helm top scored with 54 runs and James Fairclough scored 39

Michael Birchall took 3 wickets for 18 runs.

Leyland were contained by a collective tight bowling unit to 91 all out

With Tom Murray top scorer with 29

Daniel Wilson with 3 for 18 and Oliver Lewis with 5 for 9 being the pick

James Fairclough took 5 catches to go with his innings of 39.

The umpires Geoff Sheard & Paul Ellis awarded the Man of the Match to Oliver Lewis
