A new group, founded by like minded amateur sportsman from the
districts of Preston and South Ribble in Central Lancashire, with the
goal of getting men together to talk. Following the loss of one of our
own, we felt a need to create a movement that would be open to anyone
who wants to make a change for the better, be it in their personal or
working lives, but do not know who, how, where or when they can
speak about the matters that most concern them at this point in time of
their life.
Whilst aimed at those individuals within the vast amateur and semiprofessional
sporting network in the region, who have experienced life
within the “Changing Room”, anyone is welcome to come and express
what they need to in a non-judgemental environment either within a
small group or individual basis with one of our “old boys” who are
looking to help those who need it, when they need it. We recognise we
won’t have all the answers but we will be there to listen, validate your
concerns and hopefully guide you towards a better you in a better
place, both physically and emotionally.
Whilst a number of our group do have mental health training we are not
mental health professionals, but, where necessary we can signpost you
to those services that may be better suited to your needs.
We initially plan to run a monthly meeting on the last Thursday of each
month at a venue that will be confirmed on our Telegram Group Info
Channel and Twitter, STARTING ON THURSDAY 28TH
OCTOBER, keep an eye on our Social Media for more information.
