On Sunday Garstang defeated St Annes to lift the Rose Trophy for 2023.

St Annes on winning the toss elected to bat, but found it tough thanks to great fielding by Garstang. Alex Urquhart scored 40 from 27 supported by brother Rory scoring 13 and Oliver Blackburn 14.

In Reply, on his old stomping ground Ashton Charles retired after scoring 51 from 59, and Ernie Collinson scored 36 taking the score to 102-2. St Annes had a glimmer of hope as the scoring rate slowed and wickets fell but Hugo Croft hit the winning runs to take the trophy back to Riverside.

Thanks to St Annes to hosting at short notice and Adrian Darlington and Graham Lawton for hosting.
