Minimum £5 Donation

Of the 21 players that played 1st class county matches for the Lancashire CC in 2015, 6 of them had played in the Palace Shield Junior Section during their formative years; Tom Bailey, Steven Croft, Simon Kerrigan, Toby Lester, Luis Reece and Tom Smith; of the remaining 15 players in the Lancs CC squad for 2015, at least 7 were brought in from either overseas or other counties, giving the Palace Shield a total of almost 43% of the locally produced players in the Lancs 2015 1st team squad. In 2017 Richard Gleeson went on to represent England Lions. Not a bad representation from an amateur league.

Patron donations help to promote and sustain junior cricket, without which senior cricket clubs/teams would find it difficult to survive.

We still need further donations or sponsorship to enable your Executive Committee to maintain the very high standards that we have enjoyed over many years.
